Chapter 21 - The Platform

The platform faced civil scrutiny but was not secretly part of abuse.
It had policies.
It received complaints.
It asked for consent verification.
Ryan deceived it.
Could it have done more?
Probably.
A civil settlement later funded part of my therapy and privacy-remediation costs without admitting liability.
The company removed related content, blocked reuploads through hash matching where possible, and improved escalation for questionable consent.
I did not become spokesperson.
I declined interviews.
I did not want my pregnancy used again as content, even for good cause.
My attorney issued one written statement:

Emily Lawson asks that no footage depicting her abuse be redistributed. Accountability does not require replaying her suffering.
That became my public boundary.
