Margaret wrote Ryan constantly from separate facility? Actually different incarceration. Their relationship deteriorated.
She blamed him for filming.
He blamed her for medical abuse.
Their attorneys had done same.
After convictions, they rarely communicated.
I learned only because case records included letters relevant to appeal? Not private. Better not know details. Could say through public filings they blamed each other.
Margaret attempted to petition for grandparent contact from prison? Likely no. She sent request through attorney.
Denied/no standing? Pennsylvania grandparent rights complex; incarceration and parental objection. We can say she sought future contact as part of family proceeding; court declined under circumstances and protection order.
Grace never met her.
At seven, Grace asked:
“Do I have another grandma?”
I said:
“Yes. Her name is Margaret.”
“Where is she?”
“She hurt me when you were in my belly and had to go to prison.”
“Did she hurt me?”
“We don’t know that she caused any lasting harm to you. She made dangerous choices while I was pregnant.”
