Ryan’s defense changed after channel records tied Margaret financially.
He began separating himself.
His attorney suggested:
Margaret controlled household.
Margaret administered nutrition.
Ryan focused on filming and believed care was medically appropriate.
He had been manipulated by domineering mother.
Margaret’s attorney reacted.
Suddenly each accused the other.
Text messages decided much.
RYAN:
Make sure she’s quiet before stream.
MARGARET:
Then stop giving her water before filming.
RYAN:
I need tears, not her passing out.
MARGARET:
Then you do it.
Other messages showed Ryan instructing.
Others Margaret.
No single mastermind.
A partnership with different motives.
Ryan wanted content, control, ego.
Margaret wanted dominance, money, and her son’s dependence.
They reinforced each other.
