Chapter 18 - Julian Comes Home

Julian served four years ten months total after credits, combined assault and fraud sentences.

Released at thirty eight.

Three years supervised release.

Conditions:

No contact with me.

Financial monitoring.

No fiduciary employment initially.

Restitution balance.

Batterer intervention completed.

Fraud counseling? maybe.

He moved to Indianapolis where a college friend offered operations job at manufacturing distributor.

Not finance.

No access client funds.

I received victim notification.

My hands went numb reading.

The man who had swung at me would be outside.

Years had passed.

I was not same.

Still.

I updated security.

Building had new concierge.

No address secrecy possible if condo public title, but order.

I spoke to therapist.

Coach Maria.

Dad.

No dramatics.

Then first six months:

Nothing.

One year:

Nothing.

He paid restitution from wages.

No contact.

Two years:

Nothing.

Supervision officer confirmed compliance when victim services update.

At end three years, no-contact criminal condition expired but civil settlement included permanent mutual no-contact unless consent.

He respected.

Then restitution fully satisfied at forty one.

No hidden trust access.

No credit issues.

No job sabotage.

Everything closed.

I heard through mutual acquaintance he married again? This could create uncertainty. Better perhaps he did not for years. If he does, no need. Could say later he married a woman in Indiana after disclosing conviction? We cannot know details. Not needed.

No new offenses known.

His future separate.
