Chapter 22 - The Camera Comes Down

Two years after surgery, Lily asked:
“Can we remove it?”
“The kitchen camera?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“I hate looking at it.”
I had kept it because safety.
But by then balance normal.
She no longer needed monitoring.
We unscrewed it together.
She held the small black camera.
“This saved me.”
I shook head.
“No.”
“What?”
“You did.”
She frowned.
“The camera showed it.”
“Yes.”
“But you pointed.”
She thought.
Then:
“Both?”
“Fine. Both.”
We put it in a box.
Not shrine.
