Chapter 12 - Michelle’s Missing Ten Percent
Michelle’s cooperation deepened after she learned Hera had blamed nearly everything on her during an interview.
He told investigators:
“Michelle created the scheme because her business was failing.”
Partly true.
He said:
“She told me invoices could be used to establish contributions.”
False according to texts.
He said:
“I assumed the projects were real.”
Absurd.
He lived in house.
He knew roof was not slate.
Michelle’s lawyer sent prosecutors full export of messages.
One chain stood out.
Hera:
Need higher numbers.
Michelle:
You only paid 18.
Hera:
Not payment records. Value of family labor.
Michelle:
There was no family labor.
Hera:
Make it project oversight.
Michelle:
That’s fake.
Hera:
It’s negotiation.
The words were devastating because they showed knowledge.
Michelle:
My ten percent better be real.
Hera:
Once Azalea settles.
So Michelle was guilty of helping.
But architect was Hera.
Why did she do it?

That sentence was the entire Morgan family philosophy.
Marriage erased boundaries.
Family erased consent.
Need erased ownership.
She apologized.
I did not forgive immediately.
No requirement.
We completed civil settlement.
Michelle paid $8,000 toward my legal fees over eighteen months.
She removed all property photos.
Dissolved MJM.
Signed declaration.
No direct contact for two years.
If prosecutors charged her, settlement did not protect.
They ultimately offered Michelle deferred prosecution? Need later. She cooperated and had smaller role. Could be plea to misdemeanor falsification, probation/restitution. We'll do later.
More importantly, Michelle revealed a meeting at Lana’s condo.
Three months before birthday.
Hera brought the postnup draft.
Lana read.
She objected only to percentage.
“Thirty five is too much. Azalea will never sign.”
Hera:
“Then twenty five.”
Michelle:
“She won’t sign anything.”
Lana:
“Then make her understand what Hera has invested.”
They all knew about agreement.
Lana did not know invoices false.
But she knew planned family intervention.
The birthday breakfast was chosen because I would be home.
Emotionally vulnerable? Hera told them:
“She hates conflict on birthdays because of her mom.”
I froze reading.

Hera:
I’ll handle her.
Not bucket.
But domination.
Then at 4:56 a.m. on my birthday, Hera texted Michelle:
She’s still asleep. Mom still wants food?
Michelle:
Obviously.
Hera:
Watch.
At 5:07:
She’s up.
Michelle:
lol what did you do?
Hera:
Bucket.
Michelle:
You’re insane.
That proved bucket spontaneous to Hera, not family plot.
Important.
Lana did not know until after.
Michelle did not encourage before.
Hera owned it.
