That mattered.

Not every dollar was stolen.

She had provided real housing.

Some clothes.

Some food.

Some care.

Abuse does not require every minute to be abusive.

Sentence came later.

Judge considered age.

No prior record.

But repeated conduct over months.

Child vulnerability.

Financial abuse.

Forged family oversight.

False school/medical records.

Lack of remorse.

Effective sentence:

Nine years.

With parole/credit laws, she eventually served a little over seven before supervised release.

Not life.

Not nothing.
