Chapter 13 - Gloria’s Defense

Gloria’s defense was not:

I never locked her.

The latch and interview made that impossible.

Instead:

Behavioral management.

Food stealing.

Safety.

Caregiver burnout.

She claimed Lizzy had reactive attachment problems.

No diagnosis.

She claimed closet was calming space.

Outside latch contradicted.

She claimed dietary restriction was pediatric recommendation.

No doctor.

She claimed trust distributions reimbursed her legitimate full time caregiving.

Trust allowed reasonable expenses, but not undisclosed compensation without approval.

She claimed BrightPath was intended future homeschool program.

No program.

She claimed my signature authorizations were sent electronically by me.

Device records contradicted.

My phone never accessed portal.

Gloria’s laptop created PDFs.
