Chapter 14 - The Second Signature Was Only the Beginning

Forensic document examiner compared forged signatures to specimens.

They were traced or digitally copied from my acceptance form.

Not hand simulated.

Gloria had scanned.

Inserted.

Printed.

That explained near perfection.

Then investigators found another forged name.

Ian’s.

Not withdrawal signature.

An “annual parent acknowledgment” uploaded to trust.

His real signature had been copied from limited power of attorney.

The form falsely stated:

Parent confirms guardian expenses and child educational status.

Ian never saw.

That helped explain why bank trustee believed family oversight existed.

Gloria was not simply stealing.

She was manufacturing a paper trail in which everyone agreed.

Natalie approved extraordinary withdrawals.

Ian approved reports.

Walt co signed ordinary expenses.

If audit happened, she could say family knew.

My midnight rescue did more than remove Lizzy.

It interrupted the paper version of family Gloria had been building.

That was why she texted:

You ruined everything.
