The ledger was ordinary black notebook.
No secret code.

Requested.
Approved.
Rejected.
Paid anyway.
That last column.
Entries.

PFS property reimbursement 48K.
Evelyn refused.
Paid 48K June 2.
June 6:
Business bridge 61K.
Evelyn refused.
Paid June 19.
Revocation had been May 28.
He knew.
Another:
Rachel hospice coordination 27.8.
Evelyn approved 5K max.
Paid full July 1 through online.
Our mother died July 8.
The final week.
He moved.
Then note:
E too sick to fight.
My stomach turned.
Frank’s handwriting confirmed by accountant and family records.
Not just financial.
Cruel.
Another note:
Claire will audit.
Then:
Need Daniel release.
Before mother's death.
He anticipated.
Another:
If Claire fights, incapacity after accident? Wait accident happened later, after mother's death. Let's check timeline: mother died 9 months ago, accident six weeks ago. So ledger before accident cannot mention. Maybe later pages added after accident in same notebook. Fine.

Claire accident may solve executor problem.
That sentence.
He saw my injury as opportunity.
Then:
Rachel says medication angle.
There.
This notebook tied him directly.
He had not invented idea at party morning only.
They had discussed for weeks.
Rachel initially told prosecution she came up with powder on party day.
Actually medication angle earlier, specific drugging perhaps morning.
Her credibility affected.
She amended proffer.
She had suggested “make people think she’s abusing pills” two weeks earlier.
The actual plan to put her own medication in drink was hers day before.
Frank agreed.

Then Rachel plea.
At hearing she admitted:
She knowingly placed prescription sedative in my drink without consent to make me appear impaired.
She planted her pill bottle in my handbag so guests and police would believe I was abusing medication.
She pushed me after I questioned her.
She kicked my injured leg while I was on floor.
She participated with Frank in plan to create false evidence of incapacity to interfere with estate administration.
She knowingly submitted two materially false invoices to Evelyn and later assisted Frank in concealing.
She did not claim intent serious medical harm.
Judge asked:
“Why?”
Rachel cried.
“Money and fear.”
“What fear?”
“My business failed. I hid debt from husband. Frank told me audit would destroy us.”
Then:
“Did Claire threaten you unlawfully?”
“No.”
“Was she performing fiduciary duty?”
“Yes.”
Then:
“Why involve your son’s birthday?”
“Because there would be witnesses.”
The courtroom cold.
Then:
“Did Noah know?”
“No.”
“Did Daniel?”
“No.”
Then:
“Did you understand child might witness?”
“I told myself he’d be upstairs.”
He wasn't.
Then court accepted.
Sentencing later after Frank trial due cooperation.
Daniel sat behind not next to me.
Noah not there.
Then Rachel turned as taken? She was on bond pre-sentencing maybe plea can remand depending. Judge revoked? Serious. Could remand pending sentencing. Let's say she remained on strict pretrial release until sentencing because compliance, no violations. Fine.
She looked at Daniel.
He did not.
Then I expected satisfaction.
Instead I thought of Noah asking “Is Mom bad?”
No one answer.
Then Frank trial preparation.
His attorney tried exclude ledger as ambiguous personal notes.
Metadata physical notebook.
Rachel testified location.
Employees recognized.
One employee, Carl Jenkins, said Frank used notebook for cash flow.
He saw “paid anyway” but assumed meaning paid through other source.
No conspiracy.
Then another employee said Frank complained:
“My daughter thinks she runs my dead wife’s money.”
That quote.
Then Frank’s brother Mark had heard:
“Once Claire gets over this accident, I’ll deal with her.”
No threat.
Then family witnesses at party.
Some admitted saw Rachel shove.
Why nobody helped?
Aunt Melissa:
“I froze.”
Cousin Patricia:
“Frank scared me since childhood.”
Neighbor Joanne:
“I moved after second strike but Daniel arrived.”
The prosecutor did not charge bystanders.
Moral only.
Then I felt anger at them.
Therapy.
“You needed help.”
“Yes.”
“They failed.”
“Yes.”
“Do you need relationship?”
“No.”
I stopped attending big family gatherings.
No guilt.
Then Daniel sold house? The birthday house was jointly owned. During divorce, he stayed? He and Noah moved temporary. Eventually Daniel bought out Rachel share? Could be after division later. For now unresolved.
Then divorce temporary order:
Daniel primary physical custody.
Rachel supervised weekends as allowed.
No child support? Pending.
Noah wanted Mom.
He started drawing her.
One day he asked me:
“Will you tell judge to let Mom home?”
“No.”
“Why?”
“Because that judge decides based on safety. I won’t ask for something I don’t know is safe.”
He got angry.
“You hate her.”
“I don’t.”
“You should.”
“I don’t.”
He cried.
Then later:
“Sorry.”
“You’re allowed mad.”
Not responsible.
Then he asked:
“Did Mom want you dead?”
“No.”
Important.
“She wanted me impaired and discredited. That was dangerous, but evidence does not show she wanted me dead.”
Children need precise.
Then:
“Did Grandpa?”
“No evidence.”
