Restitution.
Tax adjustments.
Civil payment schedules.
Insurance subrogation.
Not secret twists.
Just administration.
Federal court entered satisfaction of restitution after Richard and others completed required payments/forfeiture credits.
Keaton done earlier.
Elaine done.
Richard last.
Lake Voss Recreation LLC dissolved.
State records marked inactive then canceled.
No successor.
No hidden account.
IRS/state revenue issues settled by them.
No tax lien on my property.
County code file closed.
My mortgage lender confirmed no default and no unauthorized encumbrance.
Title search clean.
Insurance renewed normally after several years.
No Jennifer claim outstanding.
Her wrist case and release issues resolved.
No other injured guest surfaced.
No pending renter lawsuit.
No unknown victim.
No second house.
No fake deed.
No HELOC.
No identity loan.
The fraud was exactly what evidence showed:
Unauthorized commercial use of my property.
False representation of management/ownership.
Forged owner authorization.
Electronic rental payments.
Concealment.
Personal proceeds.
No larger criminal empire.
That was enough.
Then Sarah handed me digital archive.
“Keep seven years plus whatever your accountant recommends.”
I laughed.
“You lawyers never let anything die.”
“We prefer evidence.”
Then:
“Are we done?”
“Yes.”
I sat.
“Really?”
“Yes.”
No more court.
No more interviews.
No more bank subpoenas.
Done.
I paid final legal bill.
Expensive.
Restitution/civil recovery covered much, not all.
Justice is not free.
Then Sarah asked:
“Would you do anything different?”
“Change lock sooner.”
“You didn’t know.”
“Ask Mom why she wanted spare key.”
“You did.”
True.
Then:
“I would say no sooner.”
She smiled.
