Chapter 22 - Clara After Prison

Clara came home when Noah was almost two.
She did not return to event planning.
Her professional reputation was gone.
She worked remotely in bookkeeping for a small firm after disclosure requirements.
She completed supervision.
Paid restitution monthly.
My father’s divorce from her was final.
She moved into a two-bedroom apartment.
Glen, after release later, shared custody of Noah under family-court plan.
Their romantic relationship did not survive prison.
That surprised everyone who expected scandalous couple ending together.
Affairs often thrive on secrecy, not daylight.
They tried for six months.
Fought.
Separated.
Then learned to co-parent.
Clara sent me one letter.
Natalie,

Then:

She did not ask forgiveness.
May you like
I did not answer.
Sometimes silence is boundary, not punishment.
