Chapter 11 - They Forged Me While I Was Still in Hospital

Four days after the highway, the county clerk received a quitclaim deed transferring Blackridge surface property to CGR Holdings.

My signature appeared.

Not mine.

Notary seal belonged to a retired notary who had reported missing seal months earlier.

Ruth had already placed a title fraud alert.

The clerk rejected recording.

Then Blackridge Resources LLC received a document titled:

UNANIMOUS MEMBER CONSENT.

It appointed Celia interim manager due my “incapacity.”

Again my signature.

Again false.

Then Howard Venn sent a draft mineral option agreement to an out of state investment fund stating:

Seller’s family representatives control both surface and mineral rights.

False.

Mineral rights sat inside LLC owned by my trust.

Even if surface deed had been valid, it would not transfer minerals.

My children had been willing to kill for an asset they did not understand.

Ruth said:

“That may be most insulting part.”

“No. Attempted murder remains higher.”

“Fair.”

The attempted documents brought federal interest because communications and proposed funds crossed state lines.

State investigators remained on assault.

Federal authorities examined wire fraud and identity misuse.

No giant task force arrived overnight.

Records moved slowly.

Subpoenas.

Interviews.

Preservation.

Meanwhile, I stayed out of public view.

Not because I was pretending dead.

My children knew through attorneys I survived.

I simply did not return home immediately.

Recovery.

Security.

I moved to a private rehabilitation lodge.

Marcus visited twice after inspecting Blackridge.

He had joined Sentinel Ridge as contract field coordinator.

They paid him salary.

Not me directly after initial consulting.

“Any trespass?” I asked.

“Two vehicles near east access.”

“Who?”

“One registered to Venn associate.”

“Cameras?”

“Installed.”

“Fencing?”

“Six hundred acres. No.”

“Gate?”

“Controlled.”

He looked at me.

“You enjoy asking security questions.”

May you like

“I enjoy not being thrown out of vehicles.”

“Fair.”
