Patricia’s lawyer was smarter.
Evidence:
Coworking video.
Fake ID materials.
Trust certificate.
Her calls to trustee.
Meridian verification call.
Side-fee agreement.
Texts.
She faced prison.
She pleaded guilty federally to conspiracy to commit wire/bank fraud and identity-document related offense, with overlapping counts dismissed.
She did not receive immunity.
She agreed to testify truthfully if called.
At plea hearing:
“Did you impersonate Claire Hawthorne before notary?”
“Yes.”
“Did Ms. Hawthorne authorize?”
“No.”
“Why?”
“My son needed bridge financing.”
“Did you believe Claire would later approve five million?”
“Yes.”
“Did that belief give you authority to sign her name?”
“No.”
There.
She understood now.
Or at least under oath.
She forfeited funds traceable to recent fee.
Restitution obligations.
Sentencing deferred until Daniel’s trial.
Patricia sent me letter through lawyers.
I did not open for two months.

I convinced myself everything would be repaid before you knew, so no one was really harmed. I understand now that I treated your consent as an inconvenience.
