“Did he send helicopters?”
“Emergency system alerted rescue. Grandpa helped coordinate information.”
“So he didn’t command everybody?”
“No.”
“Movies lie.”
“Frequently.”
She examined watch.
“Can I have it when I’m older?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“Because emergencies rarely ask where you live.”
She stared.
“Grandpa says that.”
“I know.”
