Chapter 23 - Scott’s Last Request

When I turned eighteen, the protection order concerning me expired under its terms.
Scott’s attorney contacted mine? I had no personal attorney. He contacted Mom’s former counsel, who forwarded request because I was now adult.
Scott asked if I would meet.
One time.
Public place.
I said no.
He asked whether he could send another letter.
I said yes.
He wrote:
I understand that no is an answer.
That was nearly enough by itself.
He did not ask again.
His criminal case was closed.
Sentence completed.
Supervision completed later.
Restitution completed.
No pending appeals.
No hidden charge.
No dramatic final violation.
He lived somewhere in northern Kentucky and worked in warehouse management.
