Noah contacted me when I was fourteen.
Through Jenna and Mom.
He was twenty one.
He asked permission first.
I said yes.
The letter was short.
Ethan,
You don’t know me, but I knew Scott before you did.
I heard he admitted what happened to you.
I’m sorry it happened.
I’m also glad somebody finally had a video.
For years I thought maybe I remembered things wrong because adults did not believe me.
You do not need to write back.
That was it.
No trauma bond.
No friendship montage.
I wrote:
I believe you.
Nothing else.
Mom mailed.
Noah replied once:
