The file was not an official Child Protection case.
It was worse.
Private.
A plan.
Rachel could not show me everything while criminal warrants were active.
Rebecca obtained portions through investigators.
The first page:

Client?
Blank.
Then:
Potential triggers:
Pregnancy fatigue.
Medication.
Work stress.
Marital conflict.
Existing family wealth dispute.
My life reduced to leverage points.
Next:
Observation source available in home.
Diane.
Not by name.
Designation:
D.K.
Then:
Goal:
Establish independent pattern before intervention.
Intervention.
Not protection.
Pattern.
Then one note:
Target date prior to Q3 governance vote.
My company board vote was twelve days away.
Crescent Harbor acquisition.
There it was.
Rebecca said:
“This does not prove Ethan knew.”
I stared at her.
“No.”
“But it proves somebody linked your family situation to the corporate timeline.”
Then police recovered metadata.
File author:
Eric Lawson.
Created on his home computer.
Edited on laptop associated with Ethan’s office?
Not Ethan’s personal laptop.
Bennett Medical shared conference machine.
Could be anyone with access.
Then a comment in document:
E:
Need stronger basis than fatigue. Board counsel will insist on medical capacity.
Eric:
Then CPS pattern creates context.
E:
No physical harm.
Eric:
Obviously.
My hands shook.
“E.”
Could be Ethan.
Could be someone else.
No need to pretend.
Then another exchange:
E:
If she fights the evaluation, that helps.
Eric:
Only if Diane can document volatility.
E:
Friday is the deadline.
The Friday board vote.
I looked at Ethan.
He was not in room when Rebecca showed me.
I had asked him to stay away while I processed.
Then Diane’s attack.
Rachel explained theory.
Child Protection workers were due for an unannounced welfare check.
Diane likely knew.
How?
Eric had access to contractor scheduling systems? Not state schedule. But he could infer from Claire's call? Maybe Diane overheard my call? I had called from car. Yet later.
Phone records showed Diane received text from Eric forty minutes before workers arrived:
THEY MAY COME TODAY. DO NOT PANIC. STICK TO OBSERVATIONS.
Then my tracker.
Diane discovered me opening the teether?
Maybe.
Bedroom camera had caught me? Wait Diane had photos. She may have noticed seam later that morning.
During playroom confrontation she squeezed it.
Felt hard tracker.
Realized.
She panicked.
She needed the teether.
I refused.
She grabbed me.
I scratched.
Workers arrived at perfect moment.
Her plan to portray me violent turned into assault evidence.
Then police found another object in Diane’s apartment.
A folder of “incident notes.”
Dates.
Descriptions.
Some events real but distorted.
Example:
Claire raised voice after Noah ran toward pool.

Mother screamed uncontrollably at child.
Claire slept during migraine.
Written:
Mother unconscious while nanny supervised child.
Claire cried after argument with Ethan.

Repeated emotional breakdown.
Facts weaponized by wording.
Then photos.
Wine bottle.
Pill bottle.
Noah’s bruises.
My messy bedroom.
Each chosen for interpretation.
Then one note:
Need injury on D before assessment.
Diane wanted visible scratches.
The attack was not entirely spontaneous.
She needed me to mark her.
The teether pressure was bait.
Not to “test the baby.”
Not medically.
Cruel nonsense meant to provoke panic.
She wanted me to fight.
Then CPS arrived.
She expected to say:
Claire attacked me.
She had not expected the tracker.
Then Mark called.
The tracker history from prior days showed another location.
Not only Family Assessment Solutions.
Two nights earlier:
BENNETT MEDICAL LOGISTICS, EXECUTIVE PARKING GARAGE.
At 11:48 p.m.
Diane had no reason to be at my company.
Who met her there?
Security camera showed a dark sedan.
She got inside.
Ten minutes later, exited.
Driver remained unseen.
