Mark Ellis entered Mercer Design Holdings at nine fourteen in the evening.
He used the side door and moved directly toward Elena’s private records cabinet.
He ignored computers, cash, and client files.
He photographed the original deeds, trust schedules, and one handwritten letter from Elena’s father.
Then he noticed the security camera.
He covered his face and left.
Police reached the office eleven minutes later.
Ellis’s vehicle was found near the train station.

Someone had followed her before Alejandro’s false death.
