Chapter 19 - The Trial I Didn’t Attend

The civil bank case continued after criminal trial.

I skipped most.

My lawyers handled.

First Commonwealth admitted control failures around lookalike email and notary verification.

Settlement confidential except enough for me to say the disputed guarantees were void as to me.

BKC debt remained Brent’s/estate liabilities.

Ridgeway distributions no longer pledged.

My credit restored after months of disputes.

No giant payout.

Some attorney fees reimbursed.

Some losses remained.

That felt realistic.

I no longer needed every injustice monetized.

The party guests scattered socially.

Some wrote apologies.

I read three.

Deleted rest unopened.

One from Laura Price, who filmed porch video:

I laughed before I understood. Then I understood and still took too long to move.

That line stayed.

People often know before they act.

I kept it because it reminded me why bystanders matter.

Not for forgiveness.

For future.
