The prosecution’s physical reconstruction was careful.

“Because he told me my life was worth less than payout and released me after I grabbed him.”

“Did he say ‘I’m pushing you’?”
“No.”
Ridiculous.
Then:
“Serena benefits from blaming him.”
“Yes.”

“Conviction may affect certain issues, but I have separate assets and do not need it.”
Then paternity/Adrian.
“You discovered billionaire father same night.”

Court almost smiled.
Then final attack:
“Mrs. Hale, isn't it true you had threatened divorce before cliff and told Victor he would lose everything?”
“No. I had just discovered affair and fraud. I said I was leaving.”
“What exact words?”
“I said, ‘I’m taking my son and you will never control my money again.’”
“Could Victor fear losing child?”
“Maybe.”
“Could he have grabbed you because you were walking away?”
“Yes.”
