The charity fundraiser took place seven years earlier.
Luke approached me near the registration table and said he recognized me from a neighborhood event.
I believed him.

Megan received another call from Melissa.

“Andrew says Samuel started the screening plan,” Melissa said.
“Why are you with Andrew?” Megan asked.

“Are you helping him?”
“I am keeping him from destroying them.”
“Come to police.”

He admitted helping keep Melissa confined.
He said she escaped, then found him months later and threatened to release every record unless he helped recover the originals from Kane.
Melissa had not remained his prisoner the entire time.
She had been running with evidence while using Andrew’s fear of Evelyn.

She surrendered.
