The fourth transferred management of any property inherited by the child to Ethan.

Prolonged compression, dehydration, temperature exposure, infection, and pregnancy created obvious risks.

The first instructions came from an individual using the name Clara Meridian.

Clara approved every stage of the infant contingency.

“Diane can keep the child. We need Rachel alive until the groundwater waiver is signed.”
The voice sounded familiar.
Alicia listened twice.
Then she looked at me.
“That sounds like your grandmother.”
My grandmother, Clara Bennett, had died five years earlier.
