The photograph was genuine.

“Are you dating Sadie because Richard asked?”

“I like her.”
Henry:
“Do you know about her trust?”
Wyatt:
“No.”
At that point, likely true.
Then Henry:
“Good. Keep it that way until she tells you.”
Wyatt agreed.
Later he violated.
Henry then warned Dad not to use relationship.
Dad ignored.
So Grandfather did not pick Wyatt.
He detected him.
Then one more record.
Dad’s message to Wyatt after our third date:
Do not discuss Red Creek with Sadie.
Wyatt:
I’m not mixing business and personal.
Dad:
Good.
Six months later:
Wyatt:
Sadie asks why trust statements go through you.
Dad:
Change subject.
He did.
I remembered dinner where I asked.
Wyatt kissed my hand and said:
“Can we have one night without business?”
I thought romance.
It was redirection.
Then the financial case widened.
Northstar’s audit found Dad had represented the fake Melanie will as potential support in lender discussions.
He told bank:
Final succession remains disputed.
That gave him excuse to retain control.
The bank had not verified because trust litigation history complicated.
Now lenders froze.
Board of Marston Development placed Dad on administrative leave from financial authority pending independent review.
No final removal.
Process.
Melanie’s trust distributions temporarily paused only to preserve assets, not punish her.
My control not transferred yet because I was injured and trust review incomplete.
Good.
No instant empire handover.
Then Mom’s role.
Investigators found she had not created fake will file.
Dad did.
But she used it repeatedly.
At some point she knew signature page came from healthcare directive?
Email from Dad:
Do not let anyone compare page five.
Mom:
I know.
There.
She knew.
The family lie was deliberate.
Then Beckett told me:
“Your father wants to speak.”
I refused.
He sent one sentence through attorney.
Ask Samuel why Henry never filed the final codicil.
I did.
Samuel became quiet.
“Because Henry changed his mind about one part.”
“What part?”
“Your control.”
My stomach dropped again.
Not who received it.

Henry had considered reducing my fifty one percent.
