The recovered deleted message did not say:

Robert had exaggerated.
That mattered.
Actual recovered text between Margaret and Daniel:
Margaret:
Your wife will not be going anywhere tomorrow.
Daniel:
What are you doing?
Margaret:
Handling it.
Daniel:
Don’t make this worse.
Margaret:
Then you handle her.
Daniel:
I tried.
That was bad.

Daniel knew Margaret intended intervention.
Not necessarily injury.
Then ten minutes after fall:
Daniel:

Margaret:
She tripped.
Daniel:

Margaret faced charges connected to deliberate obstruction causing injury and separate assaultive conduct under the facts prosecutors believed they could prove.
Different defendants.
Different conduct.
No one charged with attempted murder.
No one charged because they were mean.
For first time, the legal story resembled the real one.
Then Robert’s attorney called Mara.
