Ryan did not know about his reservation.
His attorney showed him the document during a recorded meeting.
For the first time since the grill assault, his expression revealed something other than anger.
Carol had promised him control.

As trustee, she could remove him as chief executive and take full authority.

“What level of burn did you intend?” Dana asked.
He had no answer.
He admitted locking Ethan inside the storage room after Thomas threatened to withhold invoices.
He admitted forging my signature.

Each confession came with an explanation.

“Why?”

Ryan’s reputation collapsed.
Carol claimed editing.
The complete video showed no cut.
Public opinion mattered less than court records, but it changed how quickly former employees spoke.
A construction supervisor reported that Ryan threatened workers.
An assistant described Carol ordering her to falsify travel expenses.
A former driver said he transported sealed cash between Red Oak and Bennett Family Capital.
The case widened.

After Claire is removed, secure the Lawson child file before Ryan sees it.
I had no child.
At least, I had never carried one to birth.

Ryan said the hospital handled all records.
Carol remained beside me while I was sedated.
